Principal Bobby Wright presents an award certificate to Toby Hawkes. The CUSD 10 board of Education recognized Lady Kahoks tennis player Toby Hawkes at their regular monthly meeting on November 17, 2025.  Hawkes was honored for her outstanding season.

Toby worked incredibly hard this season to become a dominate force in the Southwestern Conference at the #1 singles position.  She earned third place in both singles and doubles at the conference tournament, finished fourth in singles at IHSA sectional, and advanced to the second round of the IHSA State Tournament.

She opened the State Finals with a tough match against a strong opponent from New Trier. Toby bounced back to win her second match against an athlete from Minooka before her season concluded with a hard-fought loss to a competitor from Downers Grove South late in the afternoon/evening.

Beyond her success on the court, Toby's sportsmanship and leadership set a standard for the entire Lady Kahoks tennis team.  Her opponents respect her, her teammates admire her, and everyone who knows her celebrates her accomplishments.

Collinsville High School Principal Bobby Wright introduced Hawkes and presented her with a certificate of recognition signed by Board President Gary Peccola and Superintendent Dr. Mark B. Skertich.
