Attention Girl Bowlers - tryouts for the girl's team are today and Wednesday at Camelot Bowl after school from 3:30 - 5:30.  There is no transportation provided so make sure you make arrangements.  Also, there are no fees to try out, but you must have a current physical and parent consent form on file at the school to try out.  You may bring those documents to tryouts if necessary.

Congratulations to the boys bowling team on their victory over Edwardsville last week.  The boy's team is now 1-1.  They finished 7th in the 14 team Herrin tournament last weekend and finished 13th in the 24 team Zach LeCuyer (la cure) invitational this weekend.  Notable performances included Brody Hogenson shooting a 612 series against Edwardsville, Tatem Snider shooting a 268 and Carter Williams shooting a 275 at Herrin.  To cap things off, Carter Williams placed 8th out of over 170 bowlers in the Zach LeCuyer tournament, in which he rolled a 279 game (one strike away from perfect).

Clubs

Help us make a difference this Thanksgiving! The FFA is collecting items to create “Thanksgiving Dinner in a Box” packages for local families in need. Please bring your donations to Room 156 by tomorrow.

Check out the flyers around school for ideas of what to donate and more details. We’re partnering with THL’s Turkey Drive to make sure each family also receives a turkey. Let’s work together to fill as many boxes as we can and spread a little holiday kindness!

The Wellness Club will have a meeting on Tuesday, November 18th, in Rm 214, right after school.  Bring a dish, snack, or treat to share.  We’ll be making place mats for a local nursing facility, and have a fun activity on thankfulness.  Let’s come together to nourish our bodies, minds, and hearts, and spread some joy to others while we’re at it!

Good morning CHS HOSA members!  Today is the day for our next HOSA meeting.  The meeting will be held in room #219 immediately after school until 3:30pm.  We will be finalizing events for the upcoming preliminary round starting on December 1st!  Please make every attempt to attend and contact Ms. Perry or Mrs. Wegener if you have any questions.

The Kahok Broadcast Club will hold their monthly meeting this Wednesday afternoon in the Athletic Conference room right after school lets out for the day. If you are new to CHS, we invite you to join us. Whether you are interested in streaming, podcasts, creative writing or production, or you just want to feel more confident in the public speaking aspect of life, please feel free to join us Wednesday after school.

For any student interested in joining Kahoks on the Go!, we will have a short informational meeting on Tuesday, November 18th after school in room 314.
