Welcome back! It’s Check Day! Log into Skyward to check out your attendance. If you see any issues, stop by the attendance office to speak with Ms. Kim.
Attention Juniors- CEO is a class that is available your senior year and meets outside of school in local businesses during the first hour. This class is a great way to learn about different businesses and careers, get leadership experience, and even start your own business while you're in high school. The application is open January 15 - February 15. We will be having the second Junior Preview Day where you can attend CEO and learn more on Thursday, January 22. Check with your school counselor for more details on the Junior Preview Day and the CEO application.
Attention All Student Council Members:
We will meet in the auditorium today immediately after school. We will discuss officer elections. The National Student Council Trip this summer and our Fun Night At Edisons!
Congratulations to the 19 members of the Kahok bands who participated in the SIUe Bi-State Honor Bands this weekend! These students spent 2 days learning and performing with the best high school musicians from the greater St. Louis region and represented CHS with pride and high-quality musicianship!
Athletics
Track season starts today. If you plan on joining The Track Team, please make sure you have a physical on file in the office and join the Google Classroom for track.
Congratulations to the boy's bowling team on finishing second in the IHSA regionals this past Saturday and qualifying for the Sectional Tournament this coming Saturday. Also congratulations to Carter Williams who placed third and earned a Regional medal. Carter averaged over 230 for the event. Well done, bowlers, and good luck this weekend.
Also congratulations to the girl's bowling team for taking 3rd place in the Highland Crosstown Classic tournament and to Kellen Stephens who was the Individual tournament champion. Kellen averaged nearly 220 for the tournament.
Great bowling and good luck to the girls as they look to remain undefeated as they face O Fallon on Wednesday at Camelot Bowl.
Congratulations to the Kahok Dance Team for getting 1st place in lyrical at the IDTA competition on Saturday in Marion.
Clubs
Salvete omnes (sal-way-tay om-nays)! Salvete omnes! The Latin Club's next meeting is today in the Food Room 221 after school. Join us to build ancient buildings out of Gingerbread. If you plan to attend, please bring some candy that we can add to our candy bar for decorations!
Bonjour! The French Club's next meeting is today, after school in Room 227. We will celebrate the feast of Three Kings and share a "galette." See you there!
First Priority Club will have our weekly meeting tomorrow morning January 21st at 7:10am in room 209! First Priority is for students who already know or want to know more about Jesus. We will have donuts! Email Mrs. Schneider or Mr. Gottschalk if you have any questions. See you every Wednesday at 7:10am in room 209!
The Baking Club will have a meeting this Friday from after school until 4:30 in room 147. Please make sure you have chosen which cupcake group you want to be in on the google classroom by the end of the school day on Thursday.
The BSU will meet after school today in the library!
