General School Info.

Do you know how to read, write and speak in a language other than English??  If so, you should consider taking the Seal of Biliteracy test!  For more information and to register for the test, please see Señora Kettler in Room 223! The registration deadline is March 13th, and testing will take place March 17th, 19th and 20th.


Attention All Saturday Scholars: Our next lecture will take place at 1:30pm at Edwardsville High School in their auditorium. Make sure you arrange your own transportation to and from the event. The event concludes at 3pm.  

Athletics

Good luck to The Kahok Dance Team, who are traveling to Springfield this weekend to compete in IDTA State Finals!


The Kahok Boys swim team swam at the Southern IL HS Boys Championships at Chuck Fruit Aquatic Center, Thursday. Freshman Tate Van Keulen took 2nd place in the 200 Free and the 200 Individual Medley. Senior Luke Berger took 1st place in the 50 Free and 2nd place in the 100 Free. Sophomore Bram Malsbury took 3rd place in the 100 Free and 1st place in 100 Back. Overall, the Kahoks came in 2nd place behind Edwardsville! They will compete again at Sectionals on Saturday, February 21st at Chuck Fruit Aquatic Center.


Congratulations to both the JV and Varsity Scholar Bowl teams for defeating both Belleville West and Freeburg in last night’s matches. Way to go Kahoks!

Lunch

  • Pizza crunches or bosco’s with marinara, corn, and peas

  • Ham & cheese sub, chicken Caesar wrap, garden fiesta salad, and assorted yogurt parfait

  • Fish sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich, fries, and meatlovers pizza

  • Beef filling, fajita chicken strips, refried beans, nacho & cheese sauce, and Mexican rice & beans
