General School Info.

Attention All Saturday Scholars: If you received a confirmation email that you can attend the field trip, please meet at the Flag Pole at 12:10pm on Saturday to go to SLU. Freshmen will board one bus and all other grade levels the other bus.  Plan on returning between 3pm and 3:30pm.  

Good morning! Today’s Ag Fact: Cows are very social animals — they even have best friends! Don’t forget to keep looking for our escaped herd around the school. Bring any cows you find to Room 156 to earn a prize! Thanks for celebrating FFA Week with us!


The Kahok Band programs invite you to join us for the annual SPAGHETTI DINNER, this Saturday, February 28th from 11-7, in the CHS Cafeteria! At the Spaghetti Dinner, you can expect: all you can eat spaghetti, salad, bread, and dessert, raffles, and performances. Tickets $15, youth 5 & under are free. Cash, Tap to Pay, & Venmo accepted.

Athletics

Congrats to the girls track team for their accomplishments last night where 5 school records were broken! 

Kwanza Henderson broke the 60 meter dash record with a time of 7.94 seconds with a new state ranking of #35. She also broke the 200 meter record with a time of 26.42 seconds and a new state ranking of #46. Dariana Morris broke the long jump record with a jump of 5.01 meters (16 feet 5.25 inches). She also broke the 60 meter hurdle record with a time of 10.12 seconds. Natalie Heaton broke the 3200 meter record with a time of 13:08.16. The Lady Kahoks finished 6th overall out of 21 teams. 


Clubs

The Baking club will have a meeting today right after school until 4:30 in room 147.


The Anime Club & Esports are teaming up to host a gaming tournament this Saturday, February 28th from 9am-1pm in the Aux gym and Esports room. There will be two tournaments, a Super Smash Bros. tournament & a Mario Kart tournament. There will be games available for Free Play if you don’t wish to participate in the tournament. Admission is $3 and there will be a $5 entry fee per tournament. A trophy will be awarded to 1st place, and there will be prizes for 2nd and 3rd place finishers.
