Jostens will be outside of the Auditorium again today during lunch hours to distribute orders. They can take cap and gown orders for $50 if you haven’t ordered yours yet.
Today is the last day to get those prom tickets and pick tables! You can purchase them in the vocational foyer after school.
Attention All Kahok Ladies! Ready to hit the field for a great cause? Mr. Gordon's 5th hour Leadership class is hosting a Powderpuff game on April 8th. If you're interested in playing, this is the last week to sign up, so please check your email for more information! The game starts at 6 pm and all proceeds will go towards supporting families through childhood cancer. Let's fill the field and make this Powderpuff one to remember!
Huge props to our CHS Science Olympiad Team for an incredible showing at Regionals! In a field of fierce competition, our squad fought their way to a massive 8th place overall finish! Check out these standout performances that put CHS on the map: Esme Malo dominated the field, flying solo to take 1st PLACE in Astronomy!, Roberto Carrera and Christian Torres crushed it with a 2nd PLACE finish in Remote Sensing! A double-podium finish…Bear Powell and Jose Ramirez took 3rd in Circuit Lab, while Roberto Carrera and Christian Torres grabbed another medal with 3rd in Experimental Design! Estrella Muniz-Nova and Daniel Gutierrez-Trejo took 5th in Water Quality, Bear Powell and Jose Ramirez took 7th in Codebusters & 7th in Robot Tour, Chase Carlisle took 7th in Rocks and Minerals, Justin Wright and Mason Berardi took 7th in Boomilever, Luke O'Hara and Daniel Gutierrez-Trejo with 7th in Helicopter. From circuit boards to star charts, this team proved they have the brains and the grit to compete with the best. Way to go, CHS!
German 3 and 4 students had a fantastic time at German Day at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville! They tied for 1st place in the trivia competition. Great job representing our school!
Clubs
Salvete omnes (sal-way-tay om-nays)! The Latin Club's next meeting is after school today in Room 225. We'll be playing Latin-themed Jackbox Party Games. As always, all are welcome!
Attention all CHS HOSA Future Health Professionals Club members. Our last meeting before the IL HOSA State Conference will be Monday, March 16th immediately after school in room 219. We will be going over any last minute state conference questions and be continuing the Letters of Love campaign. The meeting will last until 3:30 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Perry or Mrs. Wegener.
