General School Info.
This is the last week of our Spring Attendance Challenge, so now is the time to finish strong. Every class period still earns points based on attendance, and it could make all the difference in the final standings. Keep showing up, be on time, and help your class push for those donuts on April 29th!
Athletics
The girls track team had another great meet this past weekend as they set two new school records! Kwanza Henderson broke the 100 meter dash record in a time of 12.26 seconds - which breaks her previous record of 12.27 that also tied her aunt Tiarra Brown from 2006. Kwanza also broke the 200 meter record in a time of 25.27 seconds. This broke the previous record of 25.50 seconds which was also held by her aunt from 2007. Other top finishers from the meet include: Dariana Morris in the 200 meter dash, Natalie Heaton in the 800 meter run, and Jaylah Harris in the 300 meter hurdles.
Clubs
Attention all HOSA future health professionals club members. Our second to last meeting of the school year will be today immediately after school in room #219. We will also be taking our club picture! The meeting will last until 3:30p.m. and include prep work for the upcoming Wellness Fair. Please remember election forms and membership dues for those running for an office are to be turned in at this meeting. Please contact Ms. Perry or Mrs. Wegener if you have any questions.
