Let’s see that school spirit tomorrow and remember that on Fridays we wear PURPLE!!!

Seniors! Do you want a Class of 2026 senior yard sign? Stop by the counseling office with $20 cash and grab one before they’re all gone!

Also for Seniors, your last day is approaching fast! Please don't forget to come by The Chrome Depot as soon as possible to return or purchase your Chromebook. The last day for collection will be May 8th! You can buy the Chromebook for $25 dollars-Cash only! Remember, you will not be given tickets to graduation if fees are not taken care of.

Jostens will be here next Wednesday, April29 to distribute the last of the orders. You can pick up during lunch hours and ask the Jostens rep any questions you may have. 

Next week is Senior spirit week.  Monday, wear your college, military, or trade school gear. Tuesday, dress as your little kid self. Wednesday, dress as your future career. Thursday, dress as a senior citizen. And Friday, it’s your last Friday as a Kahok, so wear your senior jeans and purple!

Athletics

More great accomplishments from your girls track team last night as 3 new school records were set! Kwanza Henderson set a 100 meter record with a time of 12.22 seconds and earns a new IL state ranking of #35. Kwanza also set a new 400 meter record in a time of 57.88 seconds and earned a new state ranking of #16. Dariana Morris broke the 300 meter hurdles record in a time of 46.44 seconds and earns a state ranking of #26.  Other top finishers include: Natalie Heaton on the 800, Dariana Morris in the 100 hurdles, and the Freshman Sophomore 4 by 400 meter relay of Tomerria Carraway, Aaliyah Edwards, Audrey Payne, and Me'Kya Gibson. 

Clubs

CHECKMATE! Want to try your chess skills on a master level player? Then come today after school to the last Chess Club meeting of the year. Room 305 until 4:00. Come out and play a game or two.  

Good morning, there is a Wellness Club meeting today, after school in room 214! We hope to see you there to go over our plans for The Wellness Fair!

Salvete omnes (sal-way-tay om-nays)! The Latin Club's next meeting is after school today in Room 225. We will be electing next year's Latin Club officers, and if we have t-shirt design submissions, we will be voting on those as well!
