Jostens will be here today to distribute the last of the orders outside of the cafeteria. You can pick up during lunch hours and ask the Jostens rep any questions you may have.
Seniors, your last day is approaching fast! Please don't forget to come by The Chrome Depot as soon as possible to return or purchase your Chromebook. The last day for collection will be May 8th! You can buy the Chromebook for $25 dollars-Cash only! Remember, you will not be given tickets to graduation if fees are not taken care of.
Tomorrow’s Senior spirit day is Senior Citizen day.
Today is also the Wellness Fair during lunch hours in the Hall of Fame! Stop by and get some wellness tips.
Athletics
A new school record was set at the girls track meet last night in the 300 meter hurdles by Dariana Morris. This beats her own record and earns her a new state ranking of #15. Dariana also placed 2nd in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.35 meters and earned a new state ranking of #29. Kwanza Henderson was the Madison County Champion in the 400 meter dash and placed 3rd in the 100 meter dash. Other top finishers include: Esme Malo, Audrey Payne, Natalie Heaton, Londyn Long, Toby Hawkes, and Avery Baugher. The Lady Kahoks finished 3rd overall as a team.
Following are the Boys Track Highlights from the Madison County Championship. In the 100m dash Loyal Patterson was the county champion and Amauri Harper finished 3rd. In the 200m dash Loyal Patterson finished 3rd and Amauri Harper had a personal record. In the 400m dash DeAndre Brown finished 4th with a season best time. In the 800m run Danny Gutierrez-Trejo finished 4th with a new personal record record and the #8 time in CHS history. In the 1600m run Ben Woodbury had a personal record. In the 3200m run Chase Cummins finished 3rd with a new personal record and the 10th best time ever at CHS. Anton Beljanski also got a personal record. In the shot put Shane Box finished 2nd and Jayden Haire finished 3rd. In the discus Shane Box was the Madison County Champion and Greg Ballinger finished 4th. In the pole vault Jayden Schultze finished 4th place. In the triple jump, Karron Giles finished 4th. Place. Collinsville finished 3rd place overall in the meet.
Clubs
The Baking Club will have a meeting this Friday from after school until 4:30 in room 147. Please make sure you have chosen which group you want to be in on the google classroom by the end of the school day on Thursday.
FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) will have our LAST meeting of the year today from 6:30-8:00pm in the AUX gym. Food will be provided. You do not have to be an athlete to attend. We will play games, eat food and have a short discussion. See Mrs. Schneider in room 209 if you have any questions.
Hey students! Key Club is holding their annual Kiss-A-Senior Goodbye Fundraiser. The Goodbyes can be sent to any graduating Senior and contains 4 Hershey's Kisses and a note from their sender! Sales will continue till the end of this week, you can pay with cash or cash app. The sales will be happening in front of the cafeteria.
