General School Info.

Seniors!  This Wednesday at 8am is the big Senior panoramic picture. Make sure you’re here and on time and do NOT forget to wear purple. 


Class of 2029- your homecoming t-shirts are ready to be purchased! Please check the 2029 Google classroom and get your order in by today!


Seniors, Don’t forget about the Executive Board meeting in room 154 after school today to begin planning events for your senior year!


Ms. Geib and Ms. Iler are planning two amazing trips to Europe for the summer of 2027 and summer 2028. Maybe you’ve just always wanted to see the Eiffel Tower or Big Ben, or you’re trying to plan a senior trip. Whatever your reason, if you think you might be interested, stop by room 308 or 310 to get more information and RSVP before our informational meeting Wednesday, September 2nd at 9pm in the Library.


Kahoks don't forget to order your Golden Football Game Shirt.  Sales end tomorrow. You can find the link to order your shirt on an email from Ms. Olsen and from the QR code outside of the cafeteria. The football game is Sept. 11th.   


Attention Kahok Fans - There will be a student fan bus going to Mt. Vernon for the Kahok Football game on Saturday night. Sign up will cost $10, which will include your ticket to the game, and sign up will start tomorrow in Mr. O’Neill’s classroom 211A.  

Athletics

Attention Bowlers! There will be a meeting for anyone interested in trying out for the boys and girls bowling teams on Thursday, September 3rd in room 125 after school. The meeting will last about 20 minutes and we will go over important dates. Bowling is a winter sport and you can be in band and other activities and still bowl. If you are in a fall sport or can’t make the meeting, please stop by room 125 to see Coach Hay sometime Thursday or Friday to pick up the information.


CHS Cheer will be holding tryouts on September 3rd and 10th from 3:30-5:30pm at Renfro Elementary Gym. Tryout packets can be found in Coach Audrain room 124. 


The Cross Country team had some success at their meet this weekend. The varsity boys team finished 5th of 18 teams. Those runners were: Daniel Gutierrez-Trejo, Chase Cummins, Anton Beljanski, Izzy Hubbard, and Ben Woodbury. Top finishers and medal winners were Daniel Gutierrez-Trejo at 9th place and Chase Cummins at 13th in a race of over 180 runners. Top finishers for the girls team were Elyana Cerna and Skylar Pace. 

Clubs

The Book Club will have a short informational meeting in the library after school today until 3:15. If you like reading books, you should join us. If you are interested but can’t make the meeting, reach out to Mr. Neuber in room 301 or Mrs. Schmidt in the Library for more info.


Do you love public speaking and/or performing? Then the speech and acting team is just for you. There will be an informational meeting in the theatre after school today. The meeting will only last about 20 minutes or so. 


Attention all Kahoks interested in the health care field! CHS HOSA Future Health Professionals club is meeting again today immediately after school in room 219 until 3:30pm. Anyone interested in health sciences is welcome to attend.  Please contact Ms. Perry or Mrs. Wegener if you have any questions.  


Do you want to know what FFA is all about? Come to our first Future Farmers of America meeting in room 156 after school on Wednesday, September 2nd. We’ll talk about what FFA has planned this year such as trips, competitions, leadership opportunities, community events, activities, and plenty of fun along the way! Whether you already know you want to join or you’re just curious, come check it out! No experience needed and no commitment…just show up! 


The First Priority Club will have our FIRST meeting of the year Wednesday, September 2nd at 7:10AM in room 209! First Priority is for students who already know or want to know more about Jesus. We will have donuts! We have a meeting every Wednesday morning. Email Mrs. Schneider or Mr. Gottschalk if you have any questions. 


Calling all writers - If you love to write and create, we’ve got a club for you! The Writing Club will be having our first meeting after school on Tuesday from 3 to 4 in room 303.  All are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there! 


The Math Team will have an informational meeting in Room 107 after school tomorrow. If you cannot make it or have questions, please stop by room 107 or 314. 


The first Spanish Club meeting of the year will be tomorrow after school in Room 223!  We'll be nominating officers, designing this year's t-shirt, and talking about our Homecoming plans! You do not have to be in a Spanish class to be in the Spanish Club - all are always welcome!  Hope you can join us!
