Ms. Geib and Ms. Iler are planning two amazing trips to Europe for the summer of 2027 and summer 2028. Maybe you’ve just always wanted to see the Eiffel Tower or Big Ben, or you’re trying to plan a senior trip. Whatever your reason, if you think you might be interested, stop by room 308 or 310 to get more information and RSVP before our informational meeting today at 6pm in the Library.
Attention Kahok fans: don’t forget to sign up for the student fan bus to Mt.Vernon for Saturday’s football game. See Mr. O’Neill in 211a for sign up.
Attention Juniors! The Class of 2028 Executive Board will have its first meeting of the year after school THURSDAY in room 217. We will discuss our Uptown Scoops fundraiser and Homecoming week, among other important things! If you have any questions or cannot attend, please email Ms. Gualdoni and Mr. Tostado or come see us in room 216/217!
¡Buenos días, CHS!! Are you interested in traveling to Costa Rica in June of 2028?? The CHS Spanish teachers would like to invite you to an informational meeting for both you and your parents tonight at 6:00 PM in Room 223 to tell you all about it!! Visit program.worldstrides.com/Kettler-3841 to view the itinerary or see any Spanish teacher to pick up a trip packet! If you come to the meeting, be sure to enter through Door #2 at the front of the building. Hope to see you there!
Athletics
Attention Bowlers! There will be a meeting for anyone interested in trying out for the boys and girls bowling teams on Thursday, September 3 in room 125 after school. The meeting will last about 20 minutes and we will go over important dates. Bowling is a winter sport and you can be in band and other activities and still bowl. If you are in a fall sport or can't make the meeting, please stop by room 125 to see Coach Hay sometime Thursday or Friday to pick up the information.
CHS Cheer will be holding tryouts on September 3rd and 10th from 3:30-5:30pm at Renfro Elementary Gym. Tryout packets can be found in Coach Audrain’s room 124.
Clubs
Kahokstrong will hold its first meeting this Thursday after school in room 203. We will discuss upcoming fundraisers and events. If you are unable to attend, please email Ms. Geisen or Mr. Post.
The first meeting of the German Club will be on Thursday after school in room 229. You do not need to be in German to attend.
Do you want to know what FFA is all about? Come to our first Future Farmers of America meeting in room 156 after school today. We’ll talk about what FFA has planned this year such as trips, competitions, leadership opportunities, community events, activities, and plenty of fun along the way! Whether you already know you want to join or you’re just curious, come check it out! No experience needed and no commitment…just show up!
