Help CHS Beat Alton & Tackle Hunger Next Week!

Next week, September 14-18, Collinsville High School is one of the school's featured in KSDK's Tackle Hunger campaign to benefit Operation Food Search.
Each week, 5 On Your Sidelines, 5 On Your Side's Friday night sports show, features a high school football matchup. While the teams battle it out on the field, their communities compete off the field to see which school can collect the most food before kickoff. Next week's featured game is Collinsville vs. Alton.
Here’s how it works:
- Operation Food Search officials drop off 15 empty barrels at two schools that are playing each other in football, Friday night.
- Students and staff rally their communities and collect donate-able food items all week.
- Friday, Operation Food Search picks up the barrels filled with donated food items and weighs them.
- The results are reported during the KSDK Friday 10 p.m. Sports segment “5 On Your Sideline.”
This year's campaign goal is to collect more than 55,000 pounds of food by bringing local schools, businesses and community members together to help fight hunger across the St. Louis area.
