General School Info.

Tomorrow is Friday!!!! Make sure you’re wearing purple to show your Kahok pride and school spirit! 


Juniors and seniors, the following colleges are here today in the counseling office.  Please request a pass from the counseling office. Lake Forest College at 9 am, Illinois College at 10 am, and Quincy University at 2pm

Athletics

The first practice for Esports will begin after school on October 25th. We will meet on Mondays and Fridays from 3pm to 4pm. The 10 dollar entrance fee will need to be turned into Coach K. in the Chrome Depot by Friday October 30th to remain eligible. Remember, this is a sport and not a club, so be prepared for some exercise! 


Medalists from the Cross Country meet yesterday include Skylar Pace, Audrey Payne, Anton Beljanski, Rylean Judiscak in 9th place, Daniel Gutierrez in 7th, and Chase Cummins in 4th. Congratulations to all!


This week's Trap Team Kudos go to Sandy Carnahan, Austin Sykes, Jack Thomas and Kyler Bickle for making Top Shots!! Way to Go and represent the Kahok’s!!!  A special shout out to Kyler Bickle for shooting 25 straight this week.  


Congratulations to Kahok golfers Casen Compton and Hayden Spudich who have qualified for the IHSA Sectional golf tournament. At the Regional tournament yesterday, Casen shot a 74 with 2 birdies and an eagle while Hayden shot 76 with 5 birdies! Congrats boys! 

 Clubs

You might be eligible for The Spanish Honor Society if you have completed 2 years of Spanish with an upper level Spanish class and joined Spanish or Heritage Club. If interested, please come to an informational meeting Thursday, October 15th after school in Room 226. Contact Mrs. Romoser for more information. 


We will host our first Kahoks United meeting of the year today in room 306 from 3-4. We will be working on planning for the year, including for the upcoming Trunk or Treat at Kreitner Elementary. All are welcome - feel free to email Mr. Maly or Ms. Mizel with any questions, or stop by rooms 306 or 302. 


Good morning CHS HOSA Future Health Professionals!  Our next meeting for all paid members will be this coming Monday, October 5th immediately after school in room #219.  The meeting should last until 3:30pm.  We will be discussing upcoming volunteer and field trip opportunities along with HOSA competitive events.  Please contact Ms. Perry or Mrs. Wegener if you have any questions.
