General School Info.

There is no student attendance tomorrow for an institute day and no school Monday for Columbus Day! Remember to put your ID right into your backpack as you leave today so you can easily find it next Tuesday. 


As we wrap up Hispanic Heritage Spirit week today, there will be food trucks outside of the cafeteria. Keep in mind, tardies will not be excused for waiting in line at a food truck.  


The winners of the Hispanic Heritage Month Door decorating contest are:

1st  place- Mrs. Koester room 514 

2nd place- Mrs. Romoser room 226

3rd place - our phenomenal crew in the attendance office! 


The Senior Field Trip is scheduled for November 23rd at Amp Up Action park! Get your packet in front of the main or vocational office. Completed permission slips should be turned in during lunches in the cafeteria on October 14-19. See Ms. Geppert or Ms. Perry for any questions. 


Calling all Freshmen...there will be a Class of 2030 Executive Board meeting in room 144 immediately after school on Tuesday! This is open to all freshmen who may be interested in being a part of the decisions made during their four years at CHS, such as planning junior prom, senior field trip, senior activities, Homecoming, etc. Come to the meeting to check us out! 


Ready for an adventure in June 2028 filled with Dracula, magnificent castles, delicious food, and breathtaking mountain views? Stop by room 207 and talk to Mr. Randall to learn more about travel to Romania and Hungary during the Summer of 2028. 


ATTENTION FRESHMEN:  All physicals and shot records must be turned in to the health office by next 

Wednesday October 14th.   

ATTENTION SENIORS:  You must have proof of your Meningitis vaccine turned in to the health office by next 

Wednesday October 14th.  

You will be excluded from school, including all sports, clubs and school activities if these forms are not turned in to the Nurse’s Office by October 14th.

Athletics

Athletes, please do not leave class to go to the athletic training room because of an injury. Email the athletic trainers to ask for a pass or go after school. Again, do not leave class without approval from the ATs.

 Clubs

Chess Club starts today at 3:00 PM in Room 206. All are welcome…both newbies and experienced players!


Kahoks United will meet today from 3-4 to watch Coraline and prepare for our Trunk or Treat event. If you're interested in joining us, come by room 306 or email Mr Maly or Ms. Mizel. 


Salvete omnes (sal-way-tay om-nays)! The Latin Club's next meeting is after school on Tuesday October 13 in Room 225.  We're going to begin the process of creating our banner, graffiti wall, and skit for the ILJCL South Convention!  As always, all are welcome!
